Leeds Brewery
Leeds Brewery
Established 2007, this is now the City's largest brewery.

Many people think that Leeds is ruled by Tetley's Bitter.

Not any more.

The Carlsberg-Tetley plant is being demolished, and the beer was viewed by many as an over-rated mass market low grade drink.

A link exists with the Leeds Brewery and one of the famous sons of Leeds -the late Author and Journalist Keith Waterhouse. It's pub The Brewery Tap is situated close to Leeds Railway Station at 18 New Station Street, Leeds, LS1 5DL LinkExternal link.

Keith Waterhouse took his first job at this address, then the offices of J.T. Buckton & Sons, Funeral Directors and Estate Agents. His experiences there helped craft the semi-autobiographical novel (then film) 'Billy Liar'.
