Meon Hill [2]
Meon Hill [2]
This recently created permissive path passes through this small woodland patch as it heads up Meon Hill towards Jarrett's Brow. The hill, an outlier of the Cotswold escarpment, is surmounted by a multivallate hillfort, one of only two in Warwickshire. The fort is a scheduled ancient monument and there is a great deal of detail at:- LinkExternal link
Meon Hill was the scene of a famous unsolved murder. The story of the murder is at LinkExternal link or at LinkExternal link
