The tower of ST1013 : All Saints church, Culmstock sports a yew tree of some size against the side of the stair-turret. The yew has reputedly been growing there since at least 1750, and possibly earlier; it has inspired poetry - see Link
. More conventionally the tower has gargoyles, and also a weather vane at each corner. Link
