Gates blocking disused GWR Highworth branch line
Gates blocking disused GWR Highworth branch line
Double gates block off the disused Great Western Railways (GWR) Highworth branch line where it crosses the cyclepath connecting Gipsy Lane to Green Road. Past this point, the line used to continue to Highworth, while a spur branched off into the Pressed Steel plant (now BMW Mini), where car body parts were loaded prior to being transported to Oxford for assembly.
