Gaur Power Station & Fish Ladder
Gaur Power Station & Fish Ladder
Just downstream from Gaur dam is the small power station. Just 6.4MW installed capacity, effectively this station generates power from the compensation water released to flow downstream into Loch Rannoch to the east. The fish ladder, by which the salmon can bypass the dam in a series of steps and pools, may be seen to the left.
