Seen from the bridleway is a distant view of the main house which is now a hotel. Dating back to the mid 17th century, the house was re-modelled in 1858-62 and is the most important and impressive High Victorian house in the

Close by the house is a listed garden temple, two tunnels (probably a garden folly or grotto) that are also listed and the remains of a 13th century church that is both listed and a scheduled ancient monument.
