Easter Sepulchre, Lincoln Cathedral
Easter Sepulchre, Lincoln Cathedral
Located in the presbytery, this is a fine example of an Easter Sepulchre, complete with sleeping soldiers. Circa 1380.
The sepulchres were often combined with a tomb, such as this one for Remigus, first Bishop of Lincoln, and responsible for building the original Cathedral.
