They died for Liberty
They died for Liberty
A memorial tablet dedicated to the four Bristolians who gave their lives in the Spanish Civil war. Interestingly, the tablet was unveiled by former TGWU General Secretary and International Brigade member, Jack Jones, in 1986. It is also placed close to St Peter's church - now a shell after the Blitz. See ST5973 : St Peter's and a memorial for a view.
