SP2980 : Curving Oak, Allesley Park
near to Allesley, Coventry, Great Britain

Curving Oak, Allesley Park
The park has its origins as a medieval deer park, part of which became the landscaped grounds around Allesley Hall mansion which dated from around 1700. The mansion was replaced c. 1910 with the present Allesley Hall building and it and the surrounding lands were gifted to the people of Coventry in the 1960s. Part of the land was built on to form the Allesley Park estate and the slopes between the hall and Allesley village became a public park.
