See J3373 : The "Aurora" site, Belfast (3) (September 2011). The agents’ sign now shows that the site (at the corner of Ventry Street and Gt Victoria Street (foreground) has been sold. I understand that, pending the end of the recession and the resumption of new building work, it might become the site for a non-attended (pay at the pump) petrol station. It was previously a “Shell” station.
The "Aurora" site, Great Victoria Street, Belfast
A site, at the corner of Great Victoria Street and Ventry Street. Once the site of Henry Martin’s builder’s yard J3474 : Old harbour bollard, Donegall Quay, Belfast which was replaced by the Belfast Ice and Cold Stores. In more recent times, after the demolition of the Stores, it was a Shell petrol station. The proposed 37-storey mixed-use building was refused planning permission. The site remained vacant following the insolvency of the developer. There is now planning permission for an unattended petrol station.
