The Greyhound, Netteswell Cross
In 1971 I was a student on a foundation art course at Harlow Technical College. We were given a project on Harlow in 1948 - the year the New Town was planned. This involved, amongst other things, photographing the pubs which existed in the old town and what were then surrounding villages. Part of the reasoning behind this being that all pubs built as part of the New Town development were named after butterflies or moths so the older public houses stood out.
