Former Clifden station (1)
Former Clifden station (1), taken 38 years ago
Clifden was the terminus of a line of almost 48 miles from Galway. Running through barren and lightly populated countryside side, it had a short life. It opened in 1895 and closed 40 years later, in 1935. When this was taken the former station building was occupied as a house. Now the site of a hotel LinkExternal link.
