Finishing touches to the visitor centre
A visitor centre is being built adjacent to the canal behind the Onslow Arms. The public trip boats of the Wey and Arun Canal Trust operate from here, and this building is an addition to the facilities. Despite the snow and minus temperatures we are carrying on with work to get the building finished for an opening in April.
We are doing what we can with the landscaping; here is a set of steps built into the frozen bank. When the snow has gone these will be surfaced.
