Hauxley Nature Reserve

Looking across the north-east corner of the reserve which occupies a flooded former opencast site. The building is the visitor centre and "Reception" hide, but alas the facilities described in NU2802 : Hauxley Nature Reserve are no longer available. The building was destroyed by fire by vandals in June 2010. There are plans to rebuild the centre in the autumn of 2012.
