The original 70 foot Rigal 344 was built by Harland and Wolff in 1935 and was a butty (unpowered) and was paired with a motored boat called Dorado.

This vessel consists of the original bow end fitted onto a powered stern end to make a 60 foot boat.

The original butty stern end is now fitted elsewhere as a bow onto another 45 foot boat. Both boats are called Rigal. LinkExternal link
