The junction of St Nicholas Street and Woodrouffe Terrace, Carlisle. See also: NY4055 : Corner of St Nicholas Street and Woodrouffe Terrace Edit December 2015: Brian Norman has contacted me to say that he has researched old Carlisle pubs and that between 1877 and 1894 the building on the corner was a pub called The White Ox. That would explain the white animal standing above the milking scene below.
