St Mary's Church- north elevation
Originally built in the 12th century the Grade II* listed church ( Link
) was rebuilt in 1585 with extensive restoration carried out by Thomas Wyatt, an Irish British architect well known for his work on churches ( Link
), in 1865. 2009 saw further major restoration carried out following the commissioning of a memorial to the former Prime Minister, Sir Anthony Eden, a local resident.
