The church was rebuilt in 1849-1850 at the sole expense of Mrs. Christine Marriott, the Lady of the Manor at Goodrich who lived at Sellarsbrooke House, Ganarew. Grade II listed in July 1985.
This church is on the site of a much earlier church, for which there are records starting in 1589.
