Local from Warrington approaching Acton Bridge
View NW on the WCML, towards Warrington and the North, also (electrified from Crewe) Liverpool Lime Street. This stopping service between Warrington Bank Quay and Acton Bridge was an oddity amongst all the great main-line expresses and freights; on this busy Saturday it appears to be running with an extra coach - and not in auto-configuration. The locomotive is BR Standard 2MT 2-6-2T No. 84000 (built 7/53, withdrawn 10/65). (Cf. SJ5974 : Auto-train for Warrington at Acton Bridge).
