The former Fox Inn (1), Lyth Hill Road, Bayston Hill
In recent years there were four public houses in the large village of Bayston Hill, until the Fox Inn closed in 2009. There were plans in late 2010 to re-open it, with an emphasis on food. Subsequently however plans were approved for the pub's demolition and replacement by yet more housing. No doubt the land taken up by the car park made this an attractive proposition to developers. The sign on the pub's right advertises the new houses, so it appears demolition is imminent.
