Pennine Way on Haughton Common
Pennine Way on Haughton Common
This is the point where the Pennine Way emerges from forest, to give much needed respite from fat flesh eating midges that abound in these damp plantations. It crosses this common - the track just visible, to the line of trees in the distance.
