SE6051 : Clifford Street
near to York, Great Britain

Clifford Street
Almost unique amongst city centre streets in York, Clifford Street contains no medieval structures, the reason being that the street was only opened up in 1881. The scale of the buildings on either side define this as a city street of some importance with the magistrates court, fire station and institute of art, science and literature being located here.
