SO9463 : Hanbury Hall Driveway

Hanbury Hall Driveway
Hanbury Hall Driveway
The drive to Hanbury Hall.

Hanbury Hall was built in the early 18th century on the site of the previous mansion, Spernall Hall. The date 1701 is inscribed over the front doorway (SO9463 : Hanbury Hall (Datestone)) but this may have been a Victorian embellishment as other evidence points to a likely completion date of about 1706.

The Hall and its gardens are maintained by the National Trust. It is a Grade I listed building.
