Bradford to Scarborough Excursion leaving York
Bradford to Scarborough Excursion leaving York
View SW, towards Platform 13 and the SW and South. Crossing across to the Scarborough lines, this is one of numerous Excursions to the Seaside run on Whit Monday, hauled in this case by Thompson B1 No. 61011 'Waterbuck' - one of the few with names (built 11/46, withdrawn 11/62). The route from Bradford Exchange was probably via Leeds City, but not necessarily. (The Reporting Number '552' would reveal the route). There is another similar train at Platform 12. Over on the right is Branches Yard.
