A2 Drum-House

This view is taken from the marshalling area behind the A2 drum-house. The steps on the right lead to the Zig-Zag path which links Dinorwig and Llanberis and which was designed to provide handy access to various parts of the western half of the quarry for workers from both villages. The path crosses the tramways by means of the bridge immediately behind the drum-house. The large sheets of slate in the foreground provided shelter for the marshalling area workers.
