Scarlet elf cap, Chee Dale
Scarlet elf cap, Chee Dale
A species of Sarcoscypha growing on moss covered wood near the riverside path through Chee Dale. It was the first time I have seen fungi like this. There are apparently 2 or more species that require microscopic detail to identify.
