The former owner of Warley Place Miss Miss Ellen Willmott had this "Alpine George" constructed as a spectacular rockery come water feature in her magnificent gardens. In the background you can just see TQ5890 : The Conservatory, Warley Place the only part of the big house that remains standing (although some cellars can also be seen). The gardens are now an Essex Wildlife Trust nature reserve see Link
