TL8565 : End of the line, Bury St. Edmunds station

taken 12 years ago, near to Bury st Edmunds, Suffolk, England

End of the line, Bury St. Edmunds station
These are the lines that went into the Goods Shed. They were cut off long ago when the site was converted firstly to a roller skating rink, then a fitness gym, now a furniture store and children's play area.

Not long ago you could see more lines where they crossed the road into the commercial premises on the other side, now a block of flats.

The long closed and semi-derelict Station Hotel is visible in the back of the picture. This building is closely joined to the station itself.
