Seatown is a small village on the Dorset Coast, just below Golden Cap. It has a pub (The Anchor) and a large car park. The area attracts large numbers of tourists, with its location at the heart of The Jurassic Coastline, a World Heritage Site.

Golden Cap Estate is owned and run by the National Trust. It includes the coastline between Stonebarrow Hill and Thorncombe beacon, including Golden Cap. Inland it incorporates Langdon Hill.
