Castlebar Christian Fellowship, The Green, Castlebar, Co. Mayo
This used to be a Wesleyan Methodist chapel, whose foundation stone was dedicated by Wesley himself on the 21st May 1785. It is thought to be the oldest building in Castlebar, and the only building in Ireland to have a "hands on" connection with Wesley. Today the building is used by the Castlebar Christian Fellowship, who are a Pentecostal congregation, which is one of the Elim ministries in Ireland. They are one of the Christian groups currently growing in numbers in Ireland, as the Catholic Church's active membership continues to decline.
