Mixed woodland encircles an open area of grassland known as the Wrautum at Coombe Park.
Coombe Park :: SP4079
Coombe Abbey and the 150 acre park was purchased by Coventry City Council in 1964, opened to the public in 1966 and established as a country park in 1968. The abbey buildings, representing a mixture of periods from the 12th century to the 19th, were taken over by a hotel chain in 1992 and restored, opening in 1994. The park remains open to the public.
