The Upper Braich Office, Ponc Australia
This was one of the many sub-district offices at the quarry. Situated next to Shed Australia (slate mill), it stood at almost 2,000 ft above sea level. This meant that this office was located at three times the height of the highest office in the Canary Wharf Tower. The clerks reached their desks not by express lift but on foot, climbing the 422 steps of Llwybr Llwynog being only a small part of their daily journey. SH5960 : Ever upwards - Llwybr Llwynog
