The 15th century farming settlement of Cams House, once farmed by the monks of Jervaulx, lies to the north of the River Ure.At this early stage of its passage to York the river lies in a deep valley just beyond the barns of Borwins Farm, separating the farms of Bainbridge from those on Abbotside.
