All that remains of this landing stage are these rotting wooden posts. Following the line of the staging takes you to a point on the horizon which is Southerness Lighthouse.

RSPB Mersehead “Wildfowl and Wader Wander” 2012

On the 17th March 2012 the RSPB, supported by the Scottish Government, National Science and Engineering Week and the British Science Association arranged a 5km sponsored walk around RSPB Mersehead, including areas of the reserve not normally open to the public. Over 50 adults, children and dogs attended the event raising over £2000 to go towards Mersehead and the continuing conservation work of the RSPB.
