Torquay Museum
Another view of SX9263 : Torquay Museum looking up Babbacombe Road. This building is the fifth home of the collection of the Torquay Natural History Society and was built in 1874-6 by William Harvey. Cherry & Pevsner describe the facade as "handsome symmetrical 5-bay Ruskinian ... with Gothic upper windows". Next door is the former Wesleyan Methodist church, built just before the museum, and now the Living Waters church.
