Oaks at the edge of Two-Storm Wood, Richmond Park
Though rather ravaged, the oak nearest the camera is still alive - and my guess is that it may survive for very many years yet. In the background on the right is one of the ancient pollard oaks which are a major feature of the Park. It stands within the enclosure known as Two-Storm Wood, created in the 1990's and planted up in the hope of compensating for some of the damage done by the great storms of October 1987 and January 1990.

Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve.
