Pollarded field-maple, near Isabella Plantation, Richmond Park
One of my favourite trees! There aren't many field-maples in Richmond Park - at least, I know of very few. This one is a real veteran - pollarded and hollow; in fact the far side of the trunk is missing - a child (or small adult) could walk inside - see TQ2072 : Ancient field-maple, near Isabella Plantation, Richmond Park.
