North Shiel Ridge

Looking west along the North Shiel Ridge from the summit of Saileag. Of the two peaks close together, Sgurr nan Spainteach (990m) is on the right and Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe (1027m) is on the left. Sgurr nan Spainteach or Peak of the Spaniards, was named after the Spanish soldiers who fought on the side of the Jacobites at the Battle of Glen Shiel in 1719.
