SK1878 : Cultivated upland fields

taken 12 years ago, near to Great Hucklow, Derbyshire, England

Cultivated upland fields
Cultivated upland fields
The tractors were busy on these fields as I walked the footpath above the head of Bretton Clough. At around 375 m altitude, it was a surprise (as a non-farmer) to see both this degree of cultivation, and the fineness of the soil.
