Sandstone of Raw Head crags
Sandstone of Raw Head crags
The Triassic sandstones of the Raw Head crags are listed as an SSSI for their geological interest. This view from the low-level track through the conifer plantation on the west face shows the sandstone's typical layered appearance and the bright orange-pink colour of the less-weathered rock.
