Mine chimney on Resting Hill
Mine chimney on Resting Hill
A relic from the Snailbeach Lead Mine, the prominent octagonal brick chimney on the lower slopes of Resting Hill dates from the mid 19th century; it is listed at grade II. An associated flue formerly ran down the hill to the mine, but has largely been removed. View through deciduous woodland from the public footpath which ascends Resting Hill from Snailbeach.
