Mine chimney on Resting Hill: close up
A relic from the Snailbeach Lead Mine, the prominent octagonal brick chimney on the lower slopes of Resting Hill dates from the mid 19th century; it is listed at grade II. An associated flue formerly ran down the hill to the mine, but has largely been removed. View from the base up the chimney stack. For a wider view, see SJ3701 : Mine chimney on Resting Hill
