Footbridge over the flooded Beaulieu River, New Forest
Footbridge over the flooded Beaulieu River, New Forest
There is an arch under this bridge, through which the Beaulieu River flows. The river is very high and the arch is completely submerged. A causeway carries the footpath across the broad river valley to the railway bridge (off to the right) and acts as a dam - the view upstream from the causeway can be seen in this photograph: SU3408 : Fulliford Bog in flood, New Forest.
