Pen Wood Trail Sign
Pen Wood Trail Sign
One has to come an long way off the beaten track before one sees any signs to the Pen Wood Trail. This is the first one sees, one of the reason the trail is not well known. The road under the railway bridge leads to Parsonage Farm which is just the other side of the bridge, which carries the Yeovil to Crewkerne railway line. At this point the road also is part of the Macmillan Way Long Distance footpath link with Monarch's Way. Although no dogs are allowed at the trail, there were dogs off the lead there with their owners. The car park is a small patch of grass that can accommodate half a dozen cars.
