The Beach Hut with the Red Door
The red door of the beach hut looks freshly painted, but it is probably just the effects of the weather and the light. Beach huts give rise to feelings of nostalgic pleasure in many who remember them from their youth. The promenade sweeps away towards the ice cream outlet, the deck chairs for hire, and the various types of craft that are launched from the slipway in the summer. The promenade leads to a small public golf course and various footpaths along the coast by Elberry Cove and on to Brixham's Battery Gardens with Brixham Harbour further ahead.
