SE1563 : Rock above Pateley Bridge

near to Bewerley, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Rock above Pateley Bridge
Rock above Pateley Bridge
The second of a pair of huge rocks passed on the Nidderdale Way close to Yorke's Folly when heading towards Pateley Bridge; the first is shown in SE1563 : Rock and wall, Nought Moor. Again, a dry stone wall separates bracken-covered moorland from birch trees in Guisecliff Wood, with the town far below in the Nidd valley.
