Charles II
Statue of Charles II in Soho Square by Caius Gabriel Cibber in 1681 when the square was laid out in his honour and originally called King's Square. In 1876 the statue was given to F.A.Goodhall RA who took it to Grimsdyke, Harrow Weald and on his death was passed to W.S.Gilbert. Lady Gilbert gave it back and it was re-erected in the square in 1938.
