TA2570 : Tide in at Selwicks Bay

3 km from Flamborough, East Riding of Yorkshire, Great Britain

Tide in at Selwicks Bay
Tide in at Selwicks Bay
The distinctive white chalk cliffs, with their horizontal layers surround the bay. The chalk formed millions of years ago from the remains of tiny sea creatures. Above the chalk is a layer of till (glacial deposits) left behind by glaciers 18,000 years ago, during the last Ice Age.
