The Blockhouse: Inside the Redoubt
This is the inside of the Mount Pleasant Redoubt, built on a high point as a gun emplacement around 1780 to defend the new dockyard. It was used until the 1860's then was abandoned until the Second World War when it was again used as a gun emplacement to fire against enemy aircraft.
