Punting on the Cherwell in Oxford
Punting on the Cherwell in Oxford
This tributary of the river Thames forms the eastern boundary of the University Parks. The punt is as ever but the traditional wooden poles, with which the boat was propelled, are now made of metal, thus replacing the familiar 'clunk' with a less restful 'clink' for those partaking in this peaceful recreation.
